Rank One Sport - MISD Fine Arts

All students enrolled in a Fine Arts class that participates in UIL is required to complete these 3 district forms to be enrolled in the class:

  1.  Co-Curricular/Extra-Curricular Contract
  2. Random Student Drug Testing
  3. MISD Emergency Contact Form

Several students are also required to do the same forms for Athletics.  Unfortunately, the two systems do not communicate electronically with each other, so you will need to do this twice (sorry:(     



Charms Online Music Office

As band directors, our main mode of communication and organization is on the Charms Online Music Office.  We need ALL PARENTS to log on to to make sure your personal contact information as up to date as possible.  Please go ahead and fill in all of the information boxes you can.  

  • School Code: DowellMSBand
  • Password: your child’s 6-digit student ID number (please email me to reset if you have trouble)

DMS Open House & Band Registration Night - Tuesday, August 22

  • Band Fees - At this time we will have a volunteers that will take up and collect band fees for each class (be sure you have the correct page for your child’s band class).  on this site, click under FORMS to access the fees pages (we will have extra on-site if needed).  If for some reason you cannot turn this in, or be present at Open House, you can have your child turn it in to us up until September 1st.
  • School-Owned Instrument Usage Fee - This is a one-time usage fee for use of a school owned instrument. Depending on need and size, some students will need to pay for two instruments.  The district set rate per instrument is $100 for the school year (we accept cash or check - payable to “Dowell Band”).  Please be aware that this only covers normal wear and tear maintenance issues, but does not cover accidental damage.  
  • Calendars and Handouts - We will have hard copies and several other information handouts to pass-out to families as they come and check-in.
