6:30 PM in the DMS Gym


6:00 PM - Student Call Time

All-District Band 11/17

Friday, November 17 

at McKinney Boyd HS

Attire: Wear your NEW district band t-shirt (will be delivered to you before the concert) with blue jeans and tennis shoes.  ALL DAY!

Case Storage: All students will store cases inside the auditorium when they arrive.

Concert: All friends and family are invited to the finale performance in the MBHS auditorium at 4:30pm!  Doors will open for audience seating starting at 4:00pm.  


8:40 am - arrive at MBHS through auditorium entrance 

9:00 am  - rehearsal begins on stage 

12:00 pm - lunch will be provided for you

1:00 pm - rehearse 

4:00 pm - break 

4:30 pm - CONCERT

MISD Band Night!

Monday, October 30 at Ron Poe Stadium


Prepare yourselves for one of the coolest events of the Fall semester!  All band members and families are invited to experience the power and showmanship of both the high school bands as well as 
the middle school bands; all in one stadium.

This amazing event is free and open to the public!

7TH AND 8TH GRADE BAND students will sit in the stands and perform for the audience between high school performances. The uniform for this performance is DMS band shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes.  IF it is cooler that evening, students can also wear their band hoodie, or a jacket.  


5:30 PM Meet in the Faubion cafeteria. Have your 
parents drop you off in the back parking lot and enter through the cafeteria 
door. Parents should park while there is parking and file into the stadium.
Cases – Small cases can stay in parent’s vehicle, and larger cases can be stored in the FMS cafeteria.  No music stands or folders are necessary.  

6:00 PM Middle School bands arrive, unload, assemble and enter stadium sitting in center section of home side.

Football Performance! 9/26

Here are some important details about the Bands's upcoming performance on Tuesday, September 26 at the DSM 8th grade Football Game:


  • The performance involves all members of the Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble (exception is any football players in the game).
  • Location - McKinney Boyd JV football field (back of the school by the tennis courts).
  • We will begin performing in the stands at 5:30 PM, so all students will need to begin to arrive no later than 5:15 PM.
  • Instrument cases will need to stay in parent's cars (so bring your instrument already assembled).  The only exception will be larger instrument cases (tuba, euphonium, bari sax, etc.), and there will be small location next to where we are playing for case storage.  
  • Attire is the student's new band t-shirt (passed out last week) and jeans.  Band students wearing their shirt will be granted free entrance into the game.  Parent admission is $4.
  • Students will need to bring their stand tune music, and their folding music stand from home. Some students have pre-arranged to share a stand with who they will be performing next to, and that is fine. *Percussion will be coordinate with Mr. Boychuk in class about transporting percussion items to and from DMS that day.  
  • We will finish performing at 7:00 PM.  Parents must pick-up their child at that time.  If you plan on staying for the remainder of the game (with parent), please plan ahead and make arrangements for instrument and case storage.
