Mrs. Tiffany Lisko is in her 13th year of teaching and her 11th year as the Director of Bands at Dowell Middle School in McKinney ISD, where she teaches the beginner woodwind classes, the Wind Ensemble and assists with the Symphonic Band. Mrs. Lisko has previously taught in Rockwall ISD.

Under her direction, the Dowell Wind Ensemble has received consistent superior ratings at UIL Concert & Sight-Reading Contests and local festivals as well as numerous Best in Class awards. The Dowell Wind Ensemble has been selected by the Foundation for Music Education as a "National Winner" in the Mark of Excellence National Wind Band Honors Project.  Mrs. Lisko serves as an active adjudicator throughout the state of Texas.

Mrs. Lisko is a graduate of the University Of Houston Moores School Of Music. While at the Moores School of Music, Mrs. Lisko studied instrumental methods with John Benzer and studied flute with Dr. Kim Clark. She served as Principal Piccolo in the University of Houston Wind Ensemble under the direction of Mr. Tom Bennett.  Mrs. Lisko was also a proud member of the Spirit of Houston Cougar Marching Band under the direction of David Bertman, where she also served as President of the Tau chapter of Tau Beta Sigma, National Band Sorority.  Mrs. Lisko is a graduate of Haltom High School and was selected as a Texas All-State musician on the Piccolo.  Mrs. Lisko holds a Masters degree in Music Education from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where she studied with Lynne Jackson, Brian Merrill and Frank Troyka.

Her professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, the Texas Bandmasters Association, the Texas Music Adjudicators Association, and the Alpha Chi National College Honors Society. Mrs. Lisko is proud to serves as the Fine Art and Electives Team Lead for Dowell Middle School.  She is married to Mr. Steve Lisko, who is a band director at Wylie HS in Wylie ISD.  Mr. and Mrs. Lisko currently live in Allen, TX with their 5-year old son Micah, and their dog Miles.  In their free time, they love to hike, camp, ride bikes, try new restaurants, and travel with family!

 

Mr. Nick Doutrich is in first 1st year as the Assistant Band Director at Dowell Middle School where he teaches the Beginner Brass classes, the Symphonic Band, and assists with the Wind Ensemble.  Mr. Doutrich holds a bachelors degree in Trumpet Performance from Oklahoma State University, and Masters Degree in Trumpet Performance and Music Education from Southern Methodists University. 

Mr. Doutrich grew up in Moore, Oklahoma and received his bachelor’s degree in trumpet performance from Oklahoma State University. Throughout his time at OSU Mr. Doutrich studied trumpet, chamber music, and pedagogy under Dr. Ryan Gardner. He performed in many ensembles including the Wind Ensemble, jazz ensembles, and nationally recognized trumpet ensembles. In 2015 Mr. Doutrich pursued a master’s degree in trumpet performance from Southern Methodist University.

At SMU Mr. Doutrich had the privilege to study trumpet under Tom Booth and Ryan Anthony. Throughout his time at SMU he performed in all the ensembles including the symphony orchestra, wind ensemble, and chamber ensembles. Mr. Doutrich began a master’s degree in music education in 2017 where he was able to learn from the Meadows School’s esteemed music education faculty. Additionally, Mr. Doutrich has been an active clinician, performer, and private lesson instructor in the DFW area. His professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association and Texas Bandmasters Association.

Mr. Doutrich curently lives in Garland with his dog, Pepper.  In his freetime, Mr. Doutrich enjoys being a foodie, hiking with Pepper, and playing ultimate frisbee.
